March 15, 2019

sakrete-logo.pngType S mortar with bonder and fortifier makes a strong patch in old stucco

Begin at the beginning:

  • Mix the mortar with water, 1 gallon of water per 80-lb. bag
  • Add bonder and fortifier in a 1:1 ratio with the water. This helps the new patch bond to the old surface.
  • Mix to peanut butter consistency
  • Spread mortar patch 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick, blending the edges with the existing stucco.
  • Let it dry
